Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Nairobi National Park Excursion
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by a representative and transferred to The Emakoko, a luxury lodge perfectly situated on the border of Nairobi National Park. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy either lunch or dinner at the lodge. After settling in, embark on a captivating drive through Nairobi National Park, where you can spot diverse wildlife against the backdrop of the urban skyline. Unwind at the lodge or opt for an evening game drive. Overnight stay at The Emakoko.
Day 2: Nairobi Wildlife and Cultural Experience
Start your day with a morning game drive in Nairobi National Park, where you can observe the rich array of wildlife. Following the game drive, visit the renowned Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to learn about their elephant conservation efforts. Continue to the Giraffe Centre for an up-close encounter with the endangered Rothschild giraffes. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch before exploring the Karen Blixen Museum, which offers a glimpse into the life of the famous author of “Out of Africa.” Return to The Emakoko for a relaxing evening and dinner. Day 3: Transfer to Namunyak Conservancy
Depart Nairobi for Kalama Airstrip near Sarara Tree Camp in Namunyak Conservancy. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Sarara Tree Camp, your base for the next adventure. Spend the afternoon relaxing or embark on a guided nature walk before enjoying sundowners with panoramic views. Conclude the day with a sumptuous dinner at the camp. Overnight stay at Sarara Tree Camp.
Day 4: Community Conservation and Wildlife Safari
Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Namunyak Conservancy, capturing wildlife through your lens. Return to the camp for a hearty breakfast. Later, learn about community-led conservation at Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. After lunch, visit a Samburu village to engage with local traditions and cultures. In the evening, embark on a shared night game drive after sunset; remember to wear warm clothing as it can get chilly. Return to Sarara Tree Camp for dinner and share stories under the stars. Overnight stay at Sarara Tree Camp.
Day 5: Transfer to Masai Mara
After breakfast at Sarara Tree Camp, bid farewell to Namunyak as you transfer to Kalama Airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. Upon arrival at Ngerende Airstrip, you’ll be greeted by our team and transferred to House in the Wild in Enonkishu Conservancy. Settle into your accommodations and enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge. Spend the afternoon learning about the Enonkishu Conservancy and its community and conservation projects. Embark on your first game drive in the conservancy, exploring the diverse landscapes and wildlife of the Mara. Return to House in the Wild for dinner and relaxation. Overnight stay at House in the Wild.
Day 6: Exploring Enonkishu Conservancy
Start the day with a hearty breakfast at House in the Wild. Embark on a morning game drive in Enonkishu Conservancy, led by experienced guides. Delight in a bush breakfast amidst the wilderness, soaking in the sights and sounds of the Mara. Continue your exploration with additional game drives, offering opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife, including the Big Five. Enjoy a leisurely lunch back at the lodge, followed by optional activities such as guided nature walks or visits to local community projects. In the late afternoon, head out for another game drive, capturing stunning photos of the Mara’s golden hour. Return to House in the Wild for dinner and unwind under the starlit sky. Bid farewell to the Mara as you board your flight back to Nairobi, cherishing the memories of your unforgettable safari adventure.
